How To Lose Belly Fat Tip 1: Start With Protein

Protein is a key macro when it comes to body weight control.

Not only is it know publically for helping you to retain and repair muscle mass it helps you to feel full.

Include a source of protein in every meal you have.

Remember your fibre too

Fibre can also help you to feel full but the main job of fibre is to help with digestion.

Insure to include a portion with each meal; vegetables, nuts, seeds, lentils, peas or if you struggle then supplement with a fibre supplement.

How To Lose Belly Fat Tip 2: Increase Activity

Diet and exercise go hand in hand but if you break them down you need to look at your daily activity and your workouts.

Using a simple tracker such as a Fitbit and hitting the 10000 steps target is a start and then you can look at your workouts.

Include a cardio based activity for between 20-30minutes 3x per week as well as a weight based program for the same period.

Do not suddenly go mad in the gym and go from nothing or 1-2 days to 5-6 days a week.

Everyone will hit a plateau at some point during their weight loss program.

If you suddenly drop your calories and increase levels of exercise to its max from the start you have nowhere to go when it comes to adjusting.

3-4 workouts a week, for 45-60 minutes is plenty to start with.

How To Lose Belly Fat Tip 3: Don’t Drink Your Calories

Fizzy drinks, alcohol, fruit juices, cordial and flavoured water can all contain excess calories which a lot of people forget when trying to lose weight and lose belly fat.

Avoid this is my recommendation but if you do have them remember to track them in your daily allowance.

For some people, fizzy drinks can also affect digestion and bloating. Another reason for some to stay away.
